Welcome!
Since opening in 2007, Cornerstone Elementary has remained committed to its motto: "Dedicated to Excellence: Every Moment, For Every Student." Ranked in the top 1% of schools in Texas, CSE is proud to be one of Fort Bend ISD’s highest-performing campuses.
Our teachers provide differentiated instruction and build strong academic and personal connections with students. In 2024, we introduced the Ron Clark House System, which has brought energy and unity to our school through teamwork, leadership, and school spirit.
Beyond the classroom, students engage in fine arts and physical education while receiving social-emotional support from our CREST award-winning counselor. Our vibrant library encourages a love for reading and imagination.
Led by Dr. Prudhomme and Mrs. Bartels, our Instructional Leadership Team uses Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to strengthen teaching practices and analyze student work—ensuring every child grows and thrives. As true Chameleons, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our school community.
Thank you for visiting our site. We’re excited to share all that makes CSE a special place to learn and grow!
Enrollment
All children who are four years of age or over, but younger than 21 years of age on September 1 of any school year in which admission is sought and who reside within FBISD or has a parent/legal guardian (assigned by a court of law) who resides within FBISD are eligible to attend FBISD schools.
Registration must be completed at the school in which the child's residence address is zoned within FBISD (with the exception of Prekindergarten, see below); therefore, parents must contact their child's zoned school for additional enrollment information.

Important Campus Information
Arrival/Tardies: In order to avoid a tardy arrival, we request that you drop your student off at school no later than 8:05 am each morning. Teachers will be on duty to supervise students at 7:30 am daily when the doors open. The building is not open to students prior to 7:30 am. Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria each morning. Students will report to their classrooms at 7:55 am and the tardy bell will ring at 8:05 am. If a student arrives after 8:05 am, the student must report to the front office to receive a tardy slip.
Dismissal: Students dismiss a variety of ways (walk, bike, car rider, day care and bus), so it is crucial that the dismissal is systematic and organized to ensure the safety of all involved. Parents will indicate a dismissal plan with the teacher at the beginning of the school year. In order to adequately prepare for dismissal, students may not be checked out of school after 2:45 pm.
Severe Weather Dismissal Plan: A severe weather dismissal will be called if severe weather (high winds, tornado, lightning, etc.) is present at 2:45 pm. For the safety of our students, no walkers or bike riders will be allowed on these days. Walkers and bikers will follow their severe weather plan developed by their parents. Student will dismiss regularly in rain as long as no severe weather is present.
Extended Day: Extended Day is a service provided by FBISD. Here's the link to the website https://www.fortbendisd.com/extendedlearning Please contact them at 281-634-6410 once your child is registered and they can answer questions you may have about the Extended Day Program.
Visitors and Volunteers: If you plan to visit the school for special occasions, chaperone field trips and would like to volunteer your time; you must complete an electronic history background application each school year. The background application can be found on the FBISD home page. It may take up to two weeks for the school to receive approval; therefore, you may want to complete the form soon to have it ready when the need arises. We value your support and look forward to collaborating with you during the school year!
